FABRICA SACRA
It is an Atelier of Sacred and Religious Art of Catholic faith, which produces original, unique and author's pieces by the visual artist Edith Pons, making both sacred vestments and religious images with authentic and noble materials, seeking that they are proportioned for the experience of faith in the personal or in the community dimension; that the objects we use in the liturgy are differentiated from ordinary objects and return to being sacred objects by the significance they offer us from their appearance.
FS in addition to being a path of creation, is in turn of plastic research with the intention of achieving a contemporary production of sacred art, which involves the viewer to the forms of expression of beauty - objective and universal - and to the tradition, that gives meaning and identity, in terms of the transmission of faith and truth in our days. A journey that has just begun.
I hope to share this passion with more members of our Church and that more artists will side the creation of new epiphanies for our world thirsty for Beauty today.
Remembering the words of Christ, -when we strive to make art a privileged offering- "a good work has done with me" (Mk 14, 6) and the advice of M. Teresa of Calcutta "If Jesus does not receive his part (referring to a good material offering), the poor will not receive theirs", that giving priority to the worship of God, we only do our duty but God will not let himself be won in generosity and will rain greater graces on the world.
